A Lover's Prayer

Why can't I be satisfied and embrace the love that I already have?

God help me. Help me to yearn for
you as I yearn for him.

Help me to hate the way I feel at
this exact moment so that I will do all
that is necessary for me to think and feel
this way.

I just want someone to love me.
I just want someone to want me to love them.

I just want love, the receiving and giving
of love, in the most intimate way.

Can I have that Lord? Can I?
